¿QUÉ ES BAG 5th?
‘BAG 5th: International Arts Festival’ es la quinta edición del Festival Internacional de
Arte Contemporáneo organizado por la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Granada, en colaboración con el Vicerrectorado de Internacionalización de la Universidad de Granada.
‘BAG’ es un evento anual que promueve y difunde encuentros e investigaciones artísticas realizados por profesorado, alumnado y PAS entrante y saliente vinculado a nuestra
Facultad, bajo los distintos programas de movilidad nacional e internacional existentes.
Comenzamos esta quinta edición lanzando la convocatoria expositiva ‘Give me 5!’ dirigida a nuestros estudiantes de movilidad entrante para el curso 2021-22.
CONVOCATORIA EXPOSITIVA BAG 5TH: INCOMING STUDENTS ‘GIVE ME 5!’
La convocatoria ‘Give me 5!’ se lanza como saludo y bienvenida al estudiantado entrante, invitándole a participar en esta 5ª Edición de BAG.
Esta convocatoria apoya y da a conocer las obras artísticas de estudiantes de movilidad
que realizan una estancia en la Universidad de Granada durante el curso 2021-2022.
Se podrá concurrir con obras o proyectos en cualquier modalidad artística (pintura, ilustración, escultura, fotografía, instalación, obra gráfica, performance, videoarte, intervenciones, etc.), que serán presentados al público en la Sala de exposiciones y espacios
exteriores e interiores dentro de los recintos de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de .
PARTICIPANTES
Esta convocatoria está dirigida a estudiantes universitarios de movilidad entrante matriculados en el Grado en Bellas Artes y en el Grado de Conservación y Restauración de la
Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Granada durante el curso 2021-22.
SOLICITUD
Se enviará un dossier por correo electrónico a: decabbaa@ugr.es con asunto “BAG 5th
INCOMING STUDENTS” en un único archivo formato PDF (máximo 10 megas) hasta las
14:00 h del 5 de octubre de 2021.
El PDF deberá incluir los siguientes datos:
– SOBRE EL AUTOR/A-ES
Datos personales del solicitante: Nombre y Apellidos; País y universidad de procedencia; Estudios y Grado en que los cursa; Teléfono y correo electrónico de contacto.
– SOBRE LA OBRA
Mándanos una selección con tus 5 mejores obras artísticas, indicando: Título de la
obra o del proyecto, breve explicación, imagen de buena calidad (las obras deben
estar disponibles para poder ser expuestas en la exposición a la que se refiere esta
convocatoria).
En caso de instalación o intervención en jardines o espacios de la facultad, enviar
esquemas, simulación o toda la información gráfica necesaria para la total comprensión de la viabilidad de la obra.
En caso de obra audiovisual o performativa, enviar un enlace o link externo (vimeo,
youtube, etc) o toda la documentación necesaria para la correcta comprensión del
proyecto.
FECHAS Y LUGARES DE EXHIBICIÓN
La Exposición BAG5th INCOMING STUDENTS se celebrará entre los días 15 de octubre al 8 de noviembre de 2021.
La Facultad de Bellas Artes pondrá a disposición del programa BAG todos aquellos
espacios que sean aptos para acoger la exhibición de obras artísticas dentro de sus dos
sedes: Edificio Principal y Edificio de Conservación y Restauración.
Los participantes podrán proponer espacios de intervención/exhibición dentro de los
recintos de la Facultad de Bellas Artes donde presentar su proyecto. La organización,
tras estudiar y verificar la idoneidad de otros emplazamientos solicitados, se reserva el
derecho de aceptar o no las propuestas de espacios.
CRITERIOS DE VALORACIÓN
Para la valoración de las solicitudes se tendrán en cuenta los siguientes criterios:
- a) Calidad, relevancia y rigor del proyecto.
- b) Interés artístico y cultural del proyecto.
- c) Viabilidad técnica del proyecto.
COMITÉ DE SELECCIÓN
La selección de obras o proyectos artísticos participantes será decidida por un jurado
nombrado para la ocasión que se dará a conocer tras la resolución de la convocatoria.
PUBLICACIÓN DE LA RESOLUCIÓN
El fallo del jurado se hará público en la página web de la Facultad de Bellas Artes a
partir del día 8 de octubre de 2021.
EXPOSICIÓN DE LOS PROYECTOS SELECCIONADOS
Y COMPROMISOS DE LOS ARTISTAS
Los estudiantes seleccionados depositarán sus trabajos el día 13 de octubre a las 11:00 h
en la Sala de Exposiciones de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Granada, momento en el
que se llevará a cabo un intercambio de impresiones sobre los proyectos presentados.
Asimismo, los seleccionados se comprometen a asistir al montaje y desmontaje del
proyecto y a la retirada de la obra en los plazos acordados.
EDICIÓN DE CATÁLOGO
La organización editará un catálogo para difundir las obras de los artistas seleccionados
para la Exposición BAG 5th INCOMING STUDENTS.
DERECHOS DE EXPLOTACIÓN DE LOS ARTISTAS
Y DIVULGACIÓN DE LOS PROYECTOS SELECCIONADOS
Los beneficiarios de esta convocatoria, mediante la aceptación de las bases, aceptarán
y permitirán la difusión de los proyectos seleccionados, cediendo los derechos de reproducción y comunicación pública de las obras expuestas a favor de la Facultad de Bellas
Artes de la Universidad de Granada, consintiendo la divulgación de los mismos mediante medios impresos, audiovisuales o de otro tipo.
ACEPTACIÓN DE LAS BASES Y RESPONSABILIDAD
La participación en esta convocatoria supone la aceptación íntegra de estas Bases.
La renuncia o incumplimiento de estas Bases (sin causas debidamente justificadas)
conlleva la pérdida automática del derecho a disponer del espacio.
Los solicitantes serán responsables de cualquier actuación que pueda suponer daño o
deterioro en paredes, suelos, u otros elementos en los espacios expositivos disponibles.
Así mismo, se comprometen y están obligados a dejarlo en el mismo estado en que lo
encontraron antes del montaje de su exposición y a reponer o reparar los daños que
hubiesen ocasionado.
Esta convocatoria no conlleva ayuda económica alguna al margen de los cauces de
solicitud estipulados en nuestra Facultad u otras entidades.

WHAT ‘S BAG 5TH?
‘BAG 5th: International Arts Festival’ is the fifth edition of the Contemporary Art Festival
organised by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Granada, in Partnership with
Vice-deanship for Internationalization and Research of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the
University of Granada.
‘BAG’ is an annual event that promotes and disseminates encounters and researches
made by incoming and outgoing professors, students, administrative staff linked to our
Faculty, under the different existing national and international mobility programmes.
We start this fifth edition by launching an exhibition call “Give me 5!” aim towards our
mobility students who are undertaking studies at the University of Granada during the
2021-2022 academic year.
EXHIBITION CALL BAG 5th: INCOMING STUDENTS ‘GIVE ME 5!’
The “Give me 5!” call is launched as a greeting and welcome for our incoming students,
inviting them to take part in this fifth edition of BAG.
This is a project which has been created to support and publicise the artworks of mobility
students who are undertaking studies at the University of Granada during the 2021-2022
academic year.
You can participate with works or projects in any artistic medium (painting, illustration,
sculpture, photography, installations, graphic work, performance, video art, art interventions, etc.). These works must be exhibitable in exterior and interior public spaces
at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Granada, including the Conservation and
Restoration Building.
PARTICIPANTS
This call is open to incoming mobility students enrolled in Fine Arts or Conservation and
Restoration undergraduate programmes at the University of Granada during the 2021-
2022 academic year.
APPLYING
Prospective participants must submit a dossier via email with the subject “BAG 5th INCOMING STUDENTS” to: decabbaa@ugr.es, attaching a single PDF file (maximum 10
megabytes). Applications close at 14:00 (GMT+1) on the 5th of October 2021.
The PDF should include the following information:
– ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Personal data of the applicant, including name and surname, native country and
university of origin, studies (Grade), telephone number and email.
– ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Send us a selection of your best 5 artworks, including: the title of the artwork or project, a brief explanation and good quality images (the artworks should be available to
be exhibited at the exhibition this call refers to).
In the case of installations or art interventions, you must send diagrams, simulations
or all the graphic information required in order to ensure the evaluators fully understand the work.
In the case of audiovisual or performative work, you must send a link or external link
(Vimeo, YouTube, etc.) or all the documentation required in order to ensure the evaluators fully understand the project.
DATES AND EXHIBITION SPACES
BAG 5th: Incoming Students will be held between the 15th of October and the 8th of
November 2021.
The Faculty of Fine Arts will make those spaces that are suitable for hosting the exhibition available at its two main venues; The Main Building and the Conservation and
Restoration Building.
Participants may propose exhibition spaces within the precincts of the Faculty of Fine
Arts. The organization, upon studying and verifying the suitability of requested sites,
reserves the right to accept or deny proposals relating to exhibition spaces.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
Regarding the evaluation of the applications, the following criteria will be taken into
account:
- a) Quality, relevance and rigour of the project
- b) Artistic and cultural interest of the project
- c) Technical viability of the Project
SELECTION COMMITTEE
The selection of works or artistic projects will be decided by a jury that will be announced
after the publication of the results of this call for proposals.
PUBLICATION OF THE APPLICATION RESULTS
The decision of the jury will be made public on the website of the Faculty of Fine Arts on
October the 8th 2021.
EXHIBITION OF THE SELECTED PROJECTS
AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTICIPANTS
The selected participants will leave their works at the Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of
Fine Arts of the University of Granada the 13th of October 2021 at 11:00 h, when an
interchange of opinions and impressions of the presented works will be held.
Selected participants must commit to assisting with the assembly and dismantling of the
project and the withdrawal of the work within the agreed deadlines.
PUBLICATION OF THE CATALOGUE
The organisation will publish a catalogue to disseminate the works of the artists participating in BAG 5th INCOMING STUDENTS.
RIGHTS OF EXPLOITATION AND DISSEMINATION OF SELECTED PROJECTS
The beneficiaries of this call, by accepting the rules and regulations, accept and allow
the dissemination of the selected projects, ceding the rights of reproduction and the
rights of communication to the public of the exhibited works to the Faculty of Fine Arts
of the University of Granada, and consent to the dissemination of these works through
print, audiovisual or other media.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participation in this call entails full acceptance of the terms.
The waiver or breach of these terms (without justified causes), entails the automatic loss
of the right to use the exhibition space.
Participants are responsible for any damage caused to the walls, floors, or other elements in the exhibition spaces. Likewise, they are obliged to leave the space in the same
condition in which they were found it prior to the assembly of their works and to replace
or repair any damages caused.
This call for proposals does not provide financial aid beyond the funding channels stipulated by our Faculty or other centres.
